On Friday, we made the four hour drive from Lincolnton, NC, to Roswell, GA, to attend the SE Regional Mixed Triples title tournament on Sunday. We met with Peter at the Riverside Park terrain-- created especially for the event from a gravel drive area near the park entrance.
The terrain is very playable. It has enough character, with hills and a fast surface, to provide a challenge for the gathering players. The setting is great with lots of natural shade tree to duck under when you're not on the piste.
We threw a few boules at the park and then adjourned to Moxie Burger, a couple of miles from the park, for dinner and a planning session. I came away convinced that Peter has an appreciation for the details and will no doubt put on a successful tournament.
