It was mostly our regular Carolina Petanque crowd for the first part of the afternoon, but we had a dozen or more young, first-time players--most of them freshmen at Wake Forest--in the latter part of the day.
It's amazing how welcoming and enthusiastic the management and staff of EoT have been to our group.
Though they only have one court, we managed to divide it into two serviceable areas through some creative placement of a 10 ft 4x4, but you'll have to come early and be prepared to stay a while if you want to play.
Right now we plan to schedule play on Thursdays at 4:00 PM--subject to change somewhere a long the way--so call Preston or Shirley if you have questions or need updates. The court is always available during normal business hours, so feel free to participate in impromptu play whenever you can get a group together.
By the way: food, snacks, beverages, beer, wine, and cocktails are all available, so make it an outing!
