Winston-Salem play

The hot weather has not yet dampened the enthusiasm of our Winston-Salem players. We use the natural shade provided by the woods and supplement with a pop-up sun shelter to make Sunday afternoon play enjoyable throughout the Carolina summer.

My usual joke is to remark that there are sometimes a few weeks of play between the time that people are complaining that it's too cold before they begin to complain that it's too hot.

Many thanks to Preston, our W-S area coordinator, for all the hard work he, Tess, Rom, and others have done lately in soliciting new players, court maintenance, set-up work prior to play, and everything else to make play rewarding for everyone.
