End of a busy week

Well, okay, technically Sunday at Miller Park in Winston-Salem started a new week, But, we played in Asheville on Sunday, July 11. Then in Raleigh on Wednesday, July 14. Then in Greensboro on Thursday, July 15. Then in Charlotte on Saturday, July 17. And finally, we were back in Winston-Salem on Sunday, July 18.

We're old. We need our rest!

Alexander played too!

Thirteen players at Nevin Park on Saturday. Al and Heidi Davison joined us for their first time playing in Charlotte. Anna came, but we missed Louis. Guillaume's son Alexander is beginning to play with the group and should progress quickly if he continues to play. Remember when Parker Edwards was about his size?!

More Greensboro play

Our 9:30 start time seems to be working for most of our regular Greensboro crowd. June has another commitment on Thursday mornings, but she has still been able to play a game or two. Everyone really appreciates the fact that we have a lot of natural shade for the first game or two before the sun begins to cover a lot of the terrain.

Come out and play!

Great to see Mark and Leslie Zimmerman!

Kaye welcomes attendees

We spent Bastille Day with Bob Robertson and Kaye Taliana at the new venue for play in Raleigh. Bob and Kay have done a wonderful job of creating a two-lane terrain in the alley behind the Wine Authority at 211 E Franklin St in Raleigh. The crowd seems to be very welcoming and enthusiastic for petanque in Raleigh. We plan to try to get over that way from time to time and hope you will too.

We ran into a former Carolina Petanque member, Joe Harrington, wh omany of you will remember as a regular player at Miller Park in Winston-Salem years ago.

Besides Bob, Kaye, Shirley and me, there were two other current members o Carolina Petanque in attendance. We were happy to see Mark and Leslie Zimmerman for the first time in several years. Since they live in Raleigh, we're hoping they may become regulars at the new location.
