Friday afternoon saw the first group of players planning to play in Saturday's Mid-America Regional FPUSA Select Triples tournament arrive at
Rendezvous, 184 New Haw Creek Road, Asheville, NC.
With players coming from Ohio, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and several different areas of North Carolina, we anticipated a lot of fun for Saturday play. However, Friday was for checking out the terrain, renewing acquaintances with old friends, and making new friends.
Though Friday evening weather was near perfect, the Asheville welcome was warm, and the food from the grill was delicious, everyone remained a little bit apprehensive about what Saturday might bring-- the forecast was for heavy rains throughout the day.
