We spent the third day of July in the Crossnore area where our friends Danny and Sue Daniels live. Danny and Sue had, for the second year in a row, invited Zanesfield, Ohio's, Bo Johns, his wife Mollie, and their two adorable girls, Lucy and Ruby, to spend some of their vacation time visiting in the North Carolina mountains on their way back from trips further south. This year the Johns family had just returned from Florida where they took the girls to Disney World in addition to traveling on down to south Florida for sightseeing and, of course, petanque.
The day was filled with mountain sightseeing, a trip up Grandfather Mountain, playtime with the girls, afternoon petanque, and an evening concert-in-the-park at Banner Elk. Great times!
