Tanger Gardens Monday

We had a small crowd for what we've decided will be the last play for Shirley and me in Carolina for 2019. Milka, John H, Mary, John W, Preston, Shirley and I had a cold, windy day for play, but we managed to get in several games before deciding to wrap it up just a little early.

Our next play will be in Texas, but there will continue to be regular play in the Carolinas as well. I would advise that you call ahead (numbers are listed at the top of the blog) before making a long drive as play can be sporadic in December,

The rains stopped and allowed us to play Sunday. We'll play at Greensboro on Monday and then it's off to Texas.

Miller Park Wednesday

Wednesday was one of the last chances Shirley and I will have to play at Miller Park this year. We'll plan to play there again on Sunday after which we'll need a a little time to get ready before we leave for Texas to spend the holiday season with Rob, Lynda, Marin, Maeve, and Myles in a week or so.

Official opening at Tanger Gardens petanque terrain

Though we've been playing at the new Tanger Gardens (Greensboro) terrain for several weeks now, the official opening was announced to the local media as 11/25/2019.

We had a nice turnout despite the obvious obstacles of it being a work day and/or a school day for most people.

We're looking ahead to our first club tournament on a Saturday in the spring.
