2018 Champions! (Subrenat and le Boursicaud)

Here are a few more pictures from the weekend. It was a lot of fun. The field this year was probably the best ever, There were more international players than ever, with names like Foyot, Rocher, le Boursicaud, Robineau, Weibel, Hureau, Suchaud, Lamour, Grandet, et cetera sprinkled among the top finishers.
 
Carolina Petanque players also did well this year with Kirk, Parker, Marc, Juan, Maggie, Rick, and Bill all finishing "in the money" in various classes. Way to go, gang!

Here are the way the teams finished on Saturday after all five qualifying rounds" :

 
 As you can see, Kirk Edwards & Nawfal Bensaidi were ranked  #27 out of 185 teams, winning four games and losing only one with a cumulative point differential of +36.

And here are the way the teams finished on Sunday:

Kirk and Nawfal managed to hang in there until the bitter end, ultimately losing to Mark Greenburg and Julien Lamour(!) to finish second in Concours AA.

Great job by the producers and directors, along with all the players, at Amelia this year.
